Benjamin is a member of the CIBC economic team that is responsible for analyzing macro economic developments and their implications for fixed income, equity, foreign exchange and commodities markets. He also acts in an advisory capacity to bank officers on issues related to wealth management, household/corporate credit and risk.
Benjamin has more than 20 years experience in the private sector advising clients, industry leaders, corporate boards, trade associations, and governments on economic and financial issues. He is also a regular commentator in the media.
Benjamin is a member of the Economic Committee of The Canadian Chamber of Commerce, The Economic Development Committee of the Toronto Board of Trade. He is also a member of the board of Governors of Junior Achievement of Central Ontario, and a board member of Toronto Finance International.
Luca Bucci is a government relations expert with over a decade of experience in the public and private sectors. Most notably, Luca served as Chief of Staff to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, where he developed a comprehensive understanding of the home building industry and the critical need for housing supply across Ontario. Luca’s wealth of knowledge in government relations and advocacy are helping to forge a path for the strategic direction of the association and the residential construction industry in Ontario.
Steve Deveaux is Executive Vice President of Land Development with Tribute Communities. For 16 years, Steve has been responsible for the investigation, acquisition and redevelopment of Tribute’s land holdings. Prior to Tribute, Steve was Director of Development with Monarch Corporation. Steve also spent two years as a Community Planner with the City of Toronto. Steve served as a Board of Director with the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) for 7 years, serving as Chair from 2015-2016.
Steve has also served as a Board of Director with the Ontario Home Builders Association (OHBA) and the Canadian Homebuilders Association (CHBA). Steve has sat on numerous housing advisory panels, including Mississauga’s Housing Advisory Panel, and the City of Toronto’s Private Sector Housing Roundtable.
Nicholas Fidei is the Founder and President of Treasure Hill. For nearly 20 years, Nicholas has led Treasure Hill to become an industry leader in new home construction by creating award-winning communities throughout Ontario. The successful growth of Treasure Hill has resulted in the planning, development, and construction of more than 10,000 homes. In addition to new home construction, Treasure Hill has built and operates several commercial plazas in the Greater Toronto area.
Nicholas has taken his extensive background in real estate and construction to building new communities in the United States. Treasure Hill is in the process of building in five communities located in Florida. GT Homes USA is quickly making an impact on the Florida real estate market. More recently, Nicholas founded the Forest Gate Group. In just over one year, Forest Gate has acquired approximately 600 units located in multifamily apartment buildings in addition to properties with future development opportunities.
As the CEO of Greybrook Securities Inc. and along with his partners, Sasha is responsible for leading the firm’s capital markets and real estate investment strategies. Under his leadership and on behalf of it’s L.P.’s in over 30 countries, Greybrook’s portfolio has grown to include more than 90 multi-family and residential development projects and over $20 billion worth of estimated completion value.
Sasha co-chair’s Greybrook’s Investment and Project Advisory Committees that are responsible for approving new acquisitions and actively managing all existing project partnerships.
Peter is a partner at Greybrook and CEO of Greybrook Realty Partners. A private equity professional with extensive experience structuring, financing and managing investments, he oversees the strategic growth of Greybrook Realty Partners, a leading Toronto-based real estate private equity firm.
He leads the firm’s deal origination and asset management practice and is the co-chair of Greybrook Realty’s Investment Committee, responsible for providing oversight and approval of the company’s investments. Greybrook has invested in over 90 developments in the Greater Golden Horseshoe region and South Florida markets that represent in aggregate 50 million square feet of residential and commercial density with an estimated gross completion value of over $20 billion.
