Greybrook invested equity capital alongside developer partner Marlin Spring with plans to oversee the development of the Markham III project, a 150-unit low-rise housing community.
Located at the northwest corner of 16th Avenue and McCowan Road in the City of Markham, the property is situated within an established residential neighbourhood in close proximity to key amenities, schools and with excellent access to major highways and transit options. The development plan at the time of underwriting was to obtain the required zoning approvals for the site and proceed with the construction of the homes in the project. The development team successfully navigated the municipal zoning approvals process obtaining site plan approval for 150 townhomes and Management made an investment decision to sell the newly approved site to a developer prior to the planned sales launch.
The sale transaction successfully closed in 2017 and the Greybrook Markham III Limited Partnership investors successfully exited the investment
