Construction Progresses on Phase 2 of Society Las Olas

Construction progress continues steadily at Society Las Olas II, Phase 2 of our social living community in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Following the completion of the deep soil mixing and foundation work last year, the tower’s first crane was installed in summer 2023. Since then, vertical construction has been in full swing, with the second crane fully operational and concrete poured to floor 9 of the building’s 42 floors.Completed in 2020, the first tower at Society Las Olas marked the first development under our Society Living portfolio and established a true community hub, bringing 639 rental units to market. Building upon this success, the second phase of Society Las Olas will be a welcomed addition to the urban community.

Located at 300 SW 1st Avenue and 140 SW 2nd Street in Fort Lauderdale’s Riverfront district, the second phase of Society Las Olas will include 563 rental units, offering a blend of traditional units with efficient layouts and “Rent-by-Bedroom,” or co-living options. The development will also include over 1,600 square feet of ground floor retail space, contributing to the vibrancy of the local area. Residents of Society Las Olas II will have access to an extensive range of amenities, including a modern coworking lab with private meeting rooms, a spacious pool deck with a yoga lawn, and a fully equipped fitness center. The two towers will significantly enhance the city’s housing landscape upon completion, offering a premium urban living experience. Completing Phase 2 will bring the total number of rental units across both towers to over 1,200.

Society Las Olas’ second phase is part of a growing national portfolio of U.S. Society Living communities developed in partnership with PMG. With over 1,100 more units planned, our Society Living continues to expand in key urban centers in Miami, Atlanta, and Denver.

Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to advance toward completing our Fort Lauderdale project.
