We are pleased to announce that the award-winning firm, KPMB Architects (“KPMB”) has been selected to head the design process at 1 Scollard Street at the corner of Yonge St. and Scollard in the Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood. Led by renowned architect and co-founder Bruce Kuwabara, KPMB has created a diverse portfolio of work for educational, cultural, healthcare, civic and corporate clients throughout North America and Europe.
KPMB is a renowned firm and has earned over 180 awards for excellence, including 12 Governor General’s Medals for Architecture (Canada’s highest honor), as well as distinguished international awards from the American Institute of Architects and the Royal Institute of British Architects. Recent notable KPMB projects include: the Gardiner Museum; Canada’s National Ballet School building; the Canadian embassy in Berlin, Germany; Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis; Manitoba Hydro Place in Winnipeg; and the TIFF Bell Lightbox, home of the Toronto International Film Festival.
