The Bloor West mixed use development project in the Lower Junction Triangle neighbourhood at Perth and Sterling will be branded Lower JCT. (Lower Junction). The announcement was formally made in a press release issued by Castlepoint Numa and City Councillor Ana Bailão. The completion of this project will bring space for up to 2,500 jobs and will be home for 1,000 new residents upon completion.
As described in the recent release, Castlepoint Numa has been working with Councillor Bailão and a number of community leaders towards revitalizing a primarily vacant and underutilized industrial site into a vibrant mixed-use neighbourhood. The process has resulted in strong collaboration with the local community and successful approval of the vision for Lower JCT., including several important community features and amenities.
In an effort to keep the community and all parties involved in the development apprised of the project progress and achievements, Castlepoint Numa will be issuing a Lower JCT. newsletter bi-annually for the duration of the project. The first issue, included below, provides a great overview of the development plans for the site, revitalization of the area and an update on the recent transit investments. Each issue will be made available on our site. Check back regularly for updates on this project.
