We are proud to share that Linx Condos was recently nominated for the prestigious Heritage Toronto Awards in the Built Heritage category. This year’s 49th Annual Heritage Toronto Awards celebrated exceptional contributions to the preservation and evolution of the city’s rich history.
The Built Heritage category recognizes excellence in crafts and trades work, adaptive reuse, and heritage planning and architecture. Linx Condos earned its category nomination with the careful relocation of an Ontario cottage-style house built in 1887, preserving key heritage elements such as the distinctive dichromatic brick detailing and decorative metal trims. This heritage planning approach thoughtfully maintained the area’s historical charm, seamlessly integrating the past with the dynamic and growing new community.
Located in Toronto’s vibrant and culturally diverse Danforth Village, the striking 27-storey condominium tower designed by Turner Fleischer Architects thoughtfully integrates the city’s past with its future. The development site is well-situated with easy access to Main Street subway station, providing seamless connectivity to the broader Toronto area. Danforth Village is known for its eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, and community spaces, contributing to its dynamic, lively atmosphere.
We are incredibly proud of our development team, including Turner Fleischer Architects, for successfully integrating Toronto’s historic architecture into the Linx Condo community landscape. We are also honored to be recognized by Heritage Toronto and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the city’s rich and historic urban environment.
