Gidu is an Associate in Greybrook’s Asset Management group. He supports the team’s underwriting of prospective deals and project management functions. Gidu supports the team by conducting pre-transaction due diligence and financial analysis for the projects under management to ensure the successful execution of Greybrook’s real estate investments.
Prior to joining Greybrook, Gidu was a Senior Analyst at First National Financial, one of Canada’s largest non-bank lender, originating and servicing both commercial and residential mortgages. During his time at First National Financial, Gidu underwrote commercial mortgages for all asset classes throughout Canada, gaining valuable experience in both CMHC-insured and conventional financings. Previously, Gidu also gained experience through a summer internship at Toronto Region and Conservation Authority, working in their property and risk management division.
Gidu holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a specialization in Finance and Economics, from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
