As a highly competitive and attractive nation with stable environments, accessible healthcare, and availability of quality housing – Canada offers a high standard of living for residents and newcomers alike.
Established as “The Global Liveability Index”, the report recently published by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), a division of The Economist Group and a leader in global business intelligence, assesses what locations around the world provide the best or worst living conditions. It rated 173 cities in 30 carefully selected performance indicators across five broad categories: stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure. Rounding out the nation’s most liveable cities in the top 10 are Calgary, Alberta; Vancouver, British Columbia; and Toronto, Ontario – ranking 3rd, 5th, and 8th respectively.
