After announcing a $500 million boost in RAV4 production last year, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada is set to become Canada’s largest auto producer of 2015. Although final numbers have not been compiled for all auto makers, Toyota’s plants in Cambridge and Woodstock pumped out 23% more vehicles in 2015 than the year before, for a record total of 590,723.
Although Toyota is still assessing how many additional employees it will need, there are three assembly plants in the area that will benefit from the increase in production, all of which are within 45 minutes of the Greybrook Cambridge development site.
