Referred to as “The biggest groundbreaking in the Magic City’s History” by local media, PARAMOUNT Miami Worldcenter broke ground on March 3 with an elaborate ceremony that included helicopter rides, Veuve Clicquot, and dancing human butterflies. Attended by Miami’s elite, the groundbreaking was well attended for what PARAMOUNT developer Dan Kodsi called “the first phase of a new era for the city.”
Construction will begin on the 60 story all-glass PARAMOUNT tower (expected to go vertical by later summer) before work starts on the retail portion of the 27-acre Miami Worldcenter. The open-air promenade and plaza will bring shops, restaurants, boutiques and cafes to the area, including residents of the Greybrook-PMG development 300 Biscayne, who will be within walking distance of this monumental development.
