Greybrook’s Inaugural Inside Track Event a Resounding Success

Date:
June 16, 2016

On June 2nd, Greybrook hosted its inaugural Inside Track event, bringing together a diverse panel of industry experts to discuss the trends, challenges and opportunities in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) real estate market. This by-invitation-only event featured a panel comprised of David Speigel, President and COO of Metropia, Tony Reale, Managing Director of BMO Capital Markets, Pauline Lierman, Director of Market Research at Urbanation and Greybrook Securities CEO, Sasha Cucuz, with Greybrook Realty Partners’ CEO Peter Politis as moderator.

Over the course of the evening, the panelists discussed whether it has become more difficult to find great investment opportunities for private investors given the amount of development activity already underway across the GTA, where the best opportunities are to invest, and what economic factors could positively or negatively affect the demand for Toronto real estate in the future. Throughout the discussion, it became clear that land use policies have impacted the availability of land and the development of residential projects across the GTA, particularly low-rise developments, while steady population growth continues to support strong housing demand in the GTA.

We received a significant amount of positive feedback from attendees indicating that the panel was informative and insightful.  The event overall was well-received, including requests from investors for more Greybrook events of this kind. We thank everyone who attended and look forward to hosting another Inside Track panel in the future.
