Launched by the Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC) in 2000, World Partnership Golf (WPG) is Canada’s only national Golf event dedicated to raising funds and awareness to fight poverty in poor communities in Asia and Africa. Greybrook Realty Partners is honored to be a Silver Sponsor for the Toronto WPG event taking place September 20th, 2016 at Copper Creek Golf Club, with net proceeds going towards AKFC support programs in health, education, rural development, and strengthening civil society in poor and vulnerable communities.
The AKFC believes that the solution to global poverty lies in making a long-term commitment to disadvantaged communities by supporting simple yet innovative initiatives that target basic needs while empowering citizens. WPG events allows Canadians to contribute directly to programs in Asia and Africa that give poor communities a chance to become self-sufficient. Operating on the principle that lasting change depends on partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders, the AKFC’s many efforts are undertaken in cooperation with the Government of Canada through the Canadian International Development Agency, and other institutional donors.
