Greybrook is thrilled to have been in attendance to hear Mélanie Joly, the Minister of Canadian Heritage, announce a $5.1 million grant to the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto Canada (MOCA) for renovations of its new home in the Lower JCT. AUTO BLDG. The funding was received from the Canada Cultural Space Fund and will be directed towards the renovation of the first five floors of the AUTO BLDG which MOCA has signed a 40-year lease to occupy. We are thrilled to see our cultural tenants receive this recognition and support of their artistic and social contributions to the community and Contemporary Art across Canada.
Joly’s announcement took place Wednesday, February 8th during a press conference at the Junction Gallery, which we shared with our followers on Twitter:
