Mayor John Tory’s ambitious SmartTrack plan is gaining ground with the approval of six new stations by Toronto City Council earlier this month. Intended to integrate Regional Express Rail (RER) connections from Scarborough to Etobicoke on existing GO Transit corridors, SmartTrack will increase transit options in Toronto in addition to providing more efficient commutes along the Lakeshore rail corridor. Two new GO stations (Spadina-Front and Bloor-Lansdowne) were also approved along with the six new SmartTrack stations noted below:
Future residents of Greybrook’s Upper Junction and Lower JCT. developments will benefit from being walking distance from St. Clair-Old Weston and Bloor-Landsdowne stations, respectively, allowing them to travel quickly and easily throughout the GTA from several connection points.
