All Aboard Florida’s Brightline service to Miami kicked off this past weekend with a Welcome to the 305 Celebration at the recently completed MiamiCentral terminal. The state-of-the-art Brightline trains provide convenient service from MiamiCentral station (located steps from our 300 and 400 Biscayne developments) to downtown Fort Lauderdale in thirty minutes, and on to West Palm Beach in thirty more. Introductory service will include eight round trips between Miami and West Palm Beach on weekdays and seven on weekends. Future expansion to Orlando is planned but an opening date is yet to be announced.
Weekend tickets for Brightline’s maiden voyages from Miami were completely sold out in advance, with local press and residents in attendance for the welcome celebrations. Opening day festivities included symphonic yoga, performances by Sons of Mystro and the Miami HEAT dancers, “O, Miami” poetry wall, arcade games, raffles, giveaways and more.
