North York’s largest park is set to open this spring, only steps from Greybrook’s Bayview Village project together with developer partner, Tribute Communities. Named Woodsy Park, this 8-acre park boasts the region’s largest investment in public art and will offer the community a beautiful outdoor space that includes a playground, multi-purpose playing field, a piazza, along with wooded park areas and trails. To ensure year-round enjoyment, Woodsy Park also features a teardrop-shaped spray pool that converts into an ice-skating rink during the winter months.
Currently under construction, across from Woodsy Park, is the future Bessarion Community Centre. Located adjacent to the Bessarion TTC Subway Station, the over 200,000 square-foot building, which is slated for a fall 2021 completion, is set to become the largest multi-use community centre in the City of Toronto. Featuring not only a new Toronto Public Library branch, as well as 38,000 square feet of recreational space equipped with a double gymnasium, indoor track, fitness studio and weight room, the community will also enjoy access to childcare facilities and expansive aquatics space.
Collectively, these public facilities will provide the immediate and surrounding community convenient access to incredible amenities, public programming, and recreation spaces.
