Greybrook is thrilled to report the long-awaited Garrison Crossing located minutes away from our Garrison Point and Playground Condominiums officially opened last week. The opening ceremony was led by Mayor John Tory with the help of local city Councillors Joe Cressy and Mike Layton. The Garrison Crossing is the first stainless steel bridge of its kind in Canada with its two bridge structures spanning over two active rail corridors.
Garrison Crossing provides both pedestrians and cyclists with integral access to some of the city’s most sought after neighborhoods and parks, connecting Liberty Village to the Toronto waterfront. The northern 52-meter bridge spans from the South Stanley Park extension to the north side of Ordnance Triangle Park, while the 49-meter southern bridge spans from the south side of Ordnance Triangle Park to the Fort York National Historic Site. Future residents of our Garrison Point and Playground Condominiums will not only be able to enjoy their immediate area but also enjoy superior and convenient access now to some of the best amenities and parks Toronto has to offer.
