Greybrook team members rode in support of the 7th Annual Velo Blu Charity Bike Ride in Niagara-on-the-Lake, helping raise $270,000 to advance research into rare childhood diseases and gene therapy through the Blu Genes Foundation.
Held at the scenic Peller Estates Winery on Friday, September 18th, the event brought cyclists together for a challenging and scenic ride through Niagara, with multiple routes designed to accommodate riders of different experience levels. For those who chose a more casual experience, the event offered curated activities to experience Niagara-on-the-Lake in the stunning surroundings of wine country, overlooking the vineyards and enjoying great food, wine and company.
Having raised more than $2 million in support of rare disease research since its inception, Velo Blu brings together leaders from the building, real estate and financial communities, along with key influencers, to raise funds that advance gene therapy research and accelerate treatments for rare diseases. With the incredible support of riders, donors and sponsors, this year’s event raised $270,000, bringing Velo Blu’s cumulative funds raised to more than $2.4 million in support of this important cause.
