With the majority of occupancies completed and many of the homeowners now moved into their Symphony Towns homes, construction activity is focused on finishing the interiors of the remaining homes in the project and completing the landscaping work in the community. Once completed, a collection of 212 beautifully designed townhomes will be among the new homes in Oshawa’s Parklands community in South Oshawa.
As part of the development, a brand-new park is being built on site. Oshawa, a city steeped in hockey history, will name the park after one of its very own hockey legends, Dale Hawerchuk, a celebrated Canadian hockey player who grew up in Oshawa. The Dale Hawerchuk Park is currently under construction and is scheduled to be delivered to the City of Oshawa in 2024. This new park promises to be a community focal point, celebrating a hockey icon and providing a recreational haven for residents and visitors. Dale Hawerchuk, synonymous with hockey excellence, honed his skills growing up in Oshawa and embarked on a remarkable career that left an indelible mark on hockey history through his outstanding achievements in the NHL and on the international stage.
Once complete, Dale Hawerchuk Park will be the centerpiece of the community that celebrates Oshawa’s heritage, promotes well-being, and ensures that Symphony Towns is not just a place to live but a place to thrive.
