Maintaining it’s reputation as one of the most desirable cities to live and work, Denver ranked #8 overall and dominated at #1 in the most important category – People. To create the list of the best cities in America, Resonance evaluated 23 areas grouped into six core categories – place, product, programming, people, prosperity, promotion. Denver’s highest-scoring factors were from the People and Airport Connectivity categories. In the category of “People” Denver continues to attract a highly educated, diverse, and in-demand workforce. The report described the city as “an increasingly wealthy, healthy Millennial magnet of a place”. This growing millennial population aren’t just flocking to the area because of the hot job market and lower cost of living, the city also comes with an abundance of surrounding mountains, hiking paths and 300 days of sunshine a year. As a result, Denver has also attracted people from all walks of life to the picturesque location at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.
This growing market has been on our radar for a while. Earlier this month we announced our Society Living platform expansion into Denver with a new multi-family residential development. This project is perfectly positioned for the millennial population boom, combining an attractive rental housing option with premium amenities, at an attainable price point.
Among other markets we are actively exploring, Atlanta gets a notable mention for ranking top 20 at #13 on the list. Georgia’s capital remains a transportation hub in the U.S. with 80% of the population residing within a two-hour flight and has one of the busiest airports in the world. With significant population growth, an emerging technology hub, and career opportunities, Atlanta is a diverse economic centre.
