The crew from Greybrook teamed up with the construction professionals at 485 Normandy Street, Habitat for Humanity GTA’s most recent development in Oshawa, which will add 50 affordable units to the community. This initiative and GTA build day will help create 26 new Habitat Homes, several of which will be provided to the BlackNorth Initiative, which partners with Black families who traditionally have faced barriers to homeownership. The rest of these townhomes will be allocated to Durham Region Non-Profit Housing Corporation, the leading affordable rental provider in the area.
Habitat for Humanity GTA is a local non-profit housing organization with a global vision of a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live, serving communities in the Toronto Region, York Region, Durham Region, Brampton, and Caledon. At Greybrook, we have invested in the Durham Region since 2017 with over 15 developments. This initiative has been a fantastic opportunity for our team to help support families in the community to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through home ownership.
