We recently had a chance to stop by the transforming Ordnance Triangle neighbourhood and visit our Garrison Point and Playground Condominium development. The striking two-tower project has been taking shape nicely as construction continues to advance on both buildings, creating with it a new skyline for this neighbourhood located on the eastern boundary of bustling Liberty Village.
With substantial progress continuing to be made since our last update, the exterior cladding installation has progressed well with the majority of the exterior cladding, window wall system and balcony glass having been installed. Interior work on suites is ongoing. Featured in a recent Urban Toronto article, the Hariri Pontarini designed project recently had its tower crane removed in the South Tower, with the North Tower following as scheduled moving towards the building being “topped off”. The first wave of occupancies in the South Tower is scheduled for end of this year.
Part of the vibrant mixed-use King West community, future residents of Garrison Point and Playground Condominiums will enjoy not only the abundant lifestyle amenities offered in the surrounding area, but will also enjoy seamless access to a new a four-acre public park right at their doorstep. The long-awaited Garrison Crossing pedestrian/cycle bridge is set to open this month, offering connections directly from our development to the waterfront and Coronation Park to the south, Stanley and Trinity Bellwoods Parks to the north, and Fort York to the west.
